The Flu Season is Upon Us

If you ever had the flu you know how horrible it can be.  It beats you down and leaves you feeling down for weeks to come.  I don't know about you, but the idea of the traditional flu shot always made me nervous.  For many years the company I work for provided free flu shots to all its employees every October.  I always took it because it was available and it was precautionary.  Two years ago, after having the flu shot I ended up getting the flu two times in one year.  The first time was bad, but the second round was deadly.  I was sick for weeks and almost hospitalized.  That was the last year I took the shot.  Last year I wasn't sick once, and I have no intentions of taking the flu shot ever again.  I do take alternative precautions and I found the article an interesting read on the subject.http://www.marketwatch.com/story/flu-prevention-fight-off-the-flu-boost-your-immune-system-naturally-2011-09-09
